Future Freeheel 3

What is possible on telemark skis

When I first set out to film Future Freeheel (the original) I never expected the initial success and wide reach it would have in the tele community. Fast forward seven years later here I am standing on top of steep scary lines with 4k cameras pointed at me on a picture perfect pow day in the Tahoe backcountry.

It’s hard for me to not want to produce rad freeheel content because not only is it so fun, but somebody needs to do it. I’ve been a sponsored athlete for over 20 years and really don’t know of anything else that would give me the fulfillment that comes from creating ski segments and films.

My day one friend Brian Walker (who filmed and edited FFIII) is the main reason we can produce such high quality products despite being a grassroots effort. He is probably one of the best photographers in Tahoe and he and I have…

A good chemistry working with each other. Our goal with the new film was to showcase some of the unique and beautiful lines the Tahoe backcountry has to offer, which weren’t shown in the first two films. Early rises and March pow dumps was what made that possible and we couldn’t be more stoked on what we accomplished. The Sierra Nevada’s lend themselves to the telemark turn and I hope the viewers enjoy it.

Thanks to 22 Designs for their title sponsorship and to TeleColo for hosting the film for their Tour. I’m always open to answer questions about the film and enjoy when fans reach out on social media. The success from this film keeps me moving to make another film this year so hopefully the weather cooperates!
